I apologize for posting three YouTube offerings in a row, but nothing sums up tonight's Celtics win over the Bucks (117-97 - it was a blowout, even!) quite like this:
Paul Pierce scored 32, Gerald Green had 21 on 8-of-9 shooting, and the 18 game losing streak is no more.
Good thing, too. Winning a game now removes much of the pressure that the team would have faced next week, when they head west for a scary five game road trip.
They've proven, finally, that they can win as long as they remember the team's single most productive play:
Get the ball to Paul!
(The original caption for the photo, which was credited to the AP/Michael Dwyer, read in part as follows: "Boston Celtics' head coach Doc Rivers yells instructions to his team as Paul Pierce looks on..." I'd like to think that those instructions were, "See this guy? PASS THE BALL TO HIM AND GET OUT OF THE DAMN WAY! HE'S OUR ONLY CHANCE!" Or something like that.)
